One of the coolest things about camping is arriving somewhere at dusk and then waking up the next morning to see this from your bed.

We jumped up and ran into the ocean for our pre-breakfast swim. We then realised just how much freezinger the water was once you got outside of the Bay of Plenty and headed south.

My favourite photo from our December camping trip.

I’m not even kidding, there wasn’t a public toilet for miles.

On Easter Monday we took a trip down the coast. We picnicked, walked, explored beaches, and swam at a secluded bay.

Near Maketu.

December 11th, 2009the big move east

For the last couple of weeks I’ve been working with Darcy moving beehives. I’ve been driving to various sites around the country while he slept after beeing up all night. I’ve driven further than ever before.

Yesterday four of us took two utes and moved the Your Pure Honey beehives out to their location at Hicks Bay.

Basically there is four hours of gorgeous beaches and coast out your window, getting more and more deserted as you go along.

Below is a copy of a post from one of the clients websites…

It’s been a long winter.

Abbie and Micky

Abbie and Michaela.

We had a lovely time of fellowship. I couldn’t find many photos, so you’ll have to make do with these lovely faces.

Here’s a montage I made yesterday for my dual monitors. (Hadn’t changed the wallpaper since last April).

What do you reckon?

March 28th, 2009world’s best beach

New Chums Beach is rated in the top 20 beaches in the world (by the Observer in 2006). I believe them.

On Thursday we picked up some Menzies and drove an hour north from Whitianga to the starting point. From there you cross a ‘lagoon’ (which was hardly there at low tide) and walk about 20 mins to New Chums.
