Today my baby sister turned 17.

Then we went for a walk around the Mount and found this seal.

June 10th, 2011we so excited

I’ve already written a post about what a huge blessing last weekend’s Impact conference was on Who Do You Serve? This is the photo edition…

In Taupo on the way to Impact.

On the way down to Hastings we stopped in Taupo for lunch (I think between us we managed to sample every fast food shop in the place.) In the freezing Lake Taupo breeze we were starting to wonder why we had all got thickshakes and slushies.

One of the coolest things about camping is arriving somewhere at dusk and then waking up the next morning to see this from your bed.

We jumped up and ran into the ocean for our pre-breakfast swim. We then realised just how much freezinger the water was once you got outside of the Bay of Plenty and headed south.

My favourite photo from our December camping trip.

I’m not even kidding, there wasn’t a public toilet for miles.

March 16th, 2010Collecting Honey

Here’s a copy of a post about our final honey trip.

You will note that the normally pitiful smoker was working in all it’s glory when Zac came with us.

On the way down to collect your honey we stopped at this lookout. In the background you can see the big active volcanoes in the center of the North Island. It’s the end of summer, so just about all the snow has melted.

March 15th, 2010luxury beekeeping

Last week was my final beekeeping trip.

Darcy and Dave being fancy as they drink coke. Zac 30 seconds after they told him he could have a fire.

January 23rd, 2010East to West

On Monday I did a 45 hour day, from 6 AM till 3 AM Wednesday, moving beehives across the country.

I’ve never been so devastatingly tired – still haven’t really got over it. I was reading in the NY Times and it turns out the sleep deprivation we had was far over the limits for torture in the States.

Anyway when I see you I’ll be happy to go on about how tough it was, but here’s a copy of the post from a client’s site…

January 9th, 2010The Pinnacles

On Wednesday we conquered The Pinnacles. It was the best tramp I’ve ever done.

Praise the Lord for the beauty He has created, and for enabling us to enjoy it.

It takes eight hours and is usually done as an overnight hike… for wimps.

We summited in two hours.

(Admittedly that pace was far beyond my comfort zone.)
